Product Description
Silicone liquid rubber is called Tin cure silicone rubber which is
also called condensation-cure silicone mold rubber, these are
high-tear silicone mold rubbers that are known as the “work horse”
of the industry because of their performance and economy. Tin cured
silicone molds are used for casting wax, cement, gypsum, polymer
modified gypsum, resins, etc.

METHOD OF USE
Preparation
The surface of the original should be clean and free of any dust or
loose material. If necessary, particularly with porous surfaces, a
suitable release agent should be used.
Mixing
Pour out the required amount of white base in to a container, weigh
it and measure out the correct amount of catalyst at a ratio of
between 100:2 to 100:4 by either weight or volume. Gently mix the
two components together avoiding as much air entrapment as possible
until a uniform colour is achieved. Pay particular attention to the
sides and base of the container.
Pouring
The silicone can now be gently poured at lowest point into the
mould box in ensuring that any of the air bubbles burst over the
rim until the level of the liquid in box has risen sufficiently
over the master models highest point. During this process it is
advisable to pour the mixed material in a long streaky stream which
also helps in bursting air bubbles introduced during mixing.

Storage and Precautions of silicone liquid rubber:
RTV-2 silicone rubber for making art crafts, which is an
environmentally-friendly liquid silicone product, is not easy to
burn and can be stored and transported as non-hazardous goods. The
shelf life of the product is about one year from the date of
production. Inspection is required when exceeding the time limited.
It can continue to be used in case of neither thickening nor
deterioration.
Why does the silicone rubber mold have few molding times?
The silicone rubber mold has few molding times is due to follwoing
reasons: adding too much silicone oil which will destroy the
molecular of silicone rubber; making the mold for small and fine
detailed products with higher hardness silicone rubber which is
easy to break; making the mold for large products with soft
silicone rubber which will reduce the tensile and tear strength of
the mold, and the mold will have deformation. Thus, we should take
the proper silicone rubber to make the mold for suitable products.
